   Acupressure Massage

Seated Acupressure Massage is based on the traditional Japanese acupressure technique called anma. Anma is Japanese for ‘press and rub’ and this treatment aims to stimulate the acupressure points in the head, neck, shoulders, spine and lower back in order to release tension and get movement back into tired, tense muscles.

The Treatment
The massage is a through the clothes treatment performed in a specially designed chair that allows you to fully relax and let go.  First I warm up all the muscles in the back and then use my hands, thumbs and elbows to work into specific areas of tension.  I like to incorporate some stretches into the treatment as well as I find that really helps to open up tight chest muscles.  The treatment is both relaxing and invigorating and is designed to achieve maximum results in the shortest amount of time!

Who can benefit from an acupressure massage?
Everyone!  This treatment is particularly good if you are short on time but are suffering from back and neck tension as it really gets straight to those problem areas.

Treatment times:
Sessions can be from 15 minutes to 45 minutes long depending on how long you have!
